"TYLCO WOLNOSC" Il mio Report da Varsavia (ITA+ENG version)
Caro Direttore,
nel mio ultimo viaggio a Varsavia (giugno 2014) mi sono imbattuto in questo interessante murales, trovato, quasi casualmente, in una passeggiata presso questo stabile abbandonato. Non è chiaro di cosa si tratti, se di un rifugio antiatomico, o se di un centro di spionaggio; chi lo sa… dopo il 1991 tutto è stato abbandonato. Tuttavia campeggiava questo WALLPAPER (cioè un opera dipinta su carta e applicata con colla al muro) raffigurante padre Jerzy Popieluszko; misura 210 x 800 cm. Non so se lei lo conosce, ma deve essere stato un tipo mica male. Infatti lo hanno ucciso. Vengono raffigurati, da una parte, i simboli Occidentali che urlano “NO COMUNISMO”; di fronte, allo stesso modo, la propaganda SOVIETICA urla “NO CAPITALISMO”. In mezzo, padre Popieluszko dice solo “Tylko Wolnosc” – solo libertà. Questo succedeva fino a 25 anni fa. Retorica? Io non credo. Popieluszko aveva capito che il problema ultimo dell’uomo non è appartenere ad una componente politica, ma riconoscere una Presenza. Per questo credo che tanta gente lo seguisse, e per questo motivo lo hanno ammazzato in modo selvaggio. Quest’anno sono 30 anni dal suo martirio. A me è piaciuto tantissimo, e spero che chiunque possa leggere le sue Omelie per la Patria (le edizioni Cseo dell’inarrivabile don Francesco Ricci non si trovano più, ma è possibile recuperare il buon libro di Annalia Guglielmi – Popieluszko, non si può uccidere la speranza). in
my last trip to Warsaw, i founded this interesting wallpaper that i
saw during a walk in these abandoned buidling. It is not clear it is
about, if an anti-atomic bunker or a spy-center; who knows... after
1991 everithing was abandoned. But this wallpaper was there
representing father Jerzy Popieluszko; it's about 210 x 800 cm . I am
not sure you know it but he must have been an interesting men. In
fact they killed him.
On
one side there are the typical western symbols, that scream “No
communism”; in the opposite side, in the same way, the sovietic
propaganda scream “No capitalism”. In the middle father
Popieluszko says “only freedom”. This is what happened until 25
years ago. Retoric? I don't think so. Popieluszko understood that the
very problem of the human being is not to belong to a political
group, but to recognize a Presence.This is way i think that so many
people followed him, and for this reason they killed him in a
horrible way. Today it's the 30th anniversary of his
martirium. I liked him very much and i hope that everyone can read
his “omelies for the country”. The CSEO editions of Don
Francesco Ricci are not available anymore; but it is possible to find
other books with his speeches.
