Quattro anni fa il primo murales a Varsavia, non avevo di certo le idee chiare se non una gran voglia di viaggiare e conoscere. Poi è arrivata la Bulgaria e da lì il progetto inizia a prendere una forma più definita. L’ho chiamato “Infedeli alla linea”, facendo il verso ad un celebre disco italiano incentrato sull’ ortodossia. Oggi sono arrivate le prime copie del libro che racchiude la mia ricerca artistica degli ultimi 4 anni, 112 pagine con tutti i murales, gli scritti, le foto e le interviste che ho realizzato nell’ Europa dell’Est.
Fa un certo effetto ritrovarsi tra le mani un prodotto finito e poterlo condividere con tutti, ripensando alle situazioni più tragicomiche in cui mi sono trovato, dai poliziotti che ti rapinano in Bosnia alle nottate senza fine di Berlino, dalle zuppe acidissime della Romania all’ elemosinare un po’ di benzina nelle campagne ungheresi.
Se sono riuscito a completare questo lavoro non è solo merito mio: innanzi tutto i miei amici più cari, che si sono sempre resi disponibili ad aiutarmi sacrificando un po’ delle loro ferie per viaggi improbabili. Poi la casa editrice, Silvana Editoriale, che mi ha seguito pazientemente insegnandomi molto nella costruzione di questo libro: grafici, traduttori e tutto lo staff si è dimostrato super professionale e interessato. Le persone che mi hanno consigliato e indirizzato neanche si contano.
Il libro però lo dedico ai miei genitori: a loro perché non hanno mai dubitato di questo progetto. Grazie.

Four years ago the first mural in Warsaw, I certainly had no clear ideas except a great desire to travel and learn. Then Bulgaria arrived and from there the project began to take a more defined form. I called it "Infedeli alla linea" (Infidels at the line), making the verse to a famous Italian record focused on orthodoxy. Today the first copies of the book that contains my artistic research of the last 4 years have arrived, 112 pages with all the murals, writings, photos and interviews that I made in Eastern Europe.
It makes a certain effect to find a finished product in my hands and be able to share it with everyone, thinking back to the most tragicomic situations in which I found myself, from the policemen robbing you in Bosnia to the endless nights in Berlin, from the acidic soups of Romania to begging for some petrol in the Hungarian countryside.
If I was able to complete this work, it's not only thanks to me: first of all my closest friends, who have always been available to help me by sacrificing some of their holidays for strange trips. Then the editor, Silvana Editoriale, who patiently followed me and taught me a lot in the construction of this book: graphic designers, translators and all the staff proved to be super professional and interested. The people who have advised me and addressed me can't even be counted.
But I dedicate the book to my parents: to them because they never doubted this project. Thank you.
